This article is to communicate certain ideas so that when the format of the therapeutic approach is presented there is an understanding as to why we do what we do and how we do it. Meta-medicine recognises that all disease except poisoning, radiation (modern day oncology) and malnutrition is caused by inner conflict. Mother Nature is not making a mistake as people who subscribe to the biochemical paradigm believe
What is Conflict?
A conflict is a psychic struggle, often unconscious, resulting from the opposition or simultaneous functioning of mutually exclusive impulses, desires, or tendencies. This leads to a net loss of energy as it drives the sympathetic nervous system.
The Psyche is Energy
The psyche is instinctual sexual energy which is functionally identical with the vegetative life apparatus. This is why when you do effective therapy with the psyche, people often feel fatigue. The autonomic nervous system handles the distribution of this energy and so when conflict is resolved the ANS tilts more towards the parasympathetic system & hence the fatigue.
Infants Live in Deep trance
Research shows that at certain ages there is a dominance of certain brainwaves.
0-2 years of age we are in delta, 2-6 years Theta, 7-13 – alpha and then onwards Beta brainwave. Delta and Theta are super learning states that allow the child to grow and develop rapidly. They absorb information like a sponge and hence are extremely sensitive. You could say young infants are being hypnotically programmed.
Due to certain experiences in infancy we take certain positions, develop certain beliefs that we identify with strongly. There won’t be much energy associated with the limiting decision we make as children. This mental construct is essentially a frame of reference which determines what we pay attention to and how we orientate ourselves in the world. If deep in the recesses of the mind you think ‘I AM DEFICIENT’ this will affect your attitude, your confidence etc.
Something happens in the world – information – we filter it and as it feeds through we process it (thoughts / feelings) and then depending on the meaning we respond (feed forward) be it through behaviour or embodiment (tension / sensation)
Our Organism Developed Special Survival Programs
Embodiment could be through our neurology and manifest as symptoms. Different parts of the brain control the function of various organs. The brainstem controls the alveoli in the lungs. Dr Hamer is a German oncologist who identified and mapped the connection between certain conflicts and specific organ. Over millions of years Mother Nature developed her own survival mechanism. The exquisitely sensitive life apparatus needed a way to respond to danger so specially designed archaic programs (ways of responding and functioning) were sculpted into the system. These would switch on when the danger was experienced and depending on the meaning attributed to the stimulus would determine which organ was involved. The process in the organ would be to augment the organisms attempt at survival and express itself in the behaviour.
Some examples
When there is competition and a fear in the environment the bronchi respond. It widens allowing more oxygen into the system so there is a keen alertness / more energy.
When the territory is lost the coronary artery widens (angina) allowing more sugar and oxygen so allow the organism a second fighting chance to reclaim the lost territory.
IBS Resentment
Lumber pain Worthless / unsupported.
Ovaries Profound loss / loss due to spat within a relationship
Adrenal cortex Being off track / moving in the wrong direction
The Effects of Early Limiting Decisions
These mental constructs (frames) configure the energy system and also determine how we process (format) information coming in. The program determines how we relate to the world and what we pay attention to. Over time this leads to compensations and adaptations the effect being a misalignment of how the energy flows with torsion being the result. If the core limiting belief is never challenged but actually confirmed through intense experience’s there is a solidification of the distorted energy flow with a distortion in the associated information pathway (regulates physiology) The denser the energy becomes the more synonymous with the biology. The program crystallises and informs the biology.
Of course the core construct will have many associations as things rarely occur in isolation so there will be many neural nets activating when the unconscious frame of reference gets contextually activated. If the signal is intense enough then the neurology activates the organ which is analogous to the archaic programming associated with it.
In Meta-Medicine it is the Tracks. What is a Track?
Dr Hamer talks of tracks which are certain thoughts and feelings unconsciously associated with the conflict. These can and do activates the biology felt as symptoms. What is a track? Essentially we represent and give meaning to the information coming in. Of course the core constructs (frames of reference) have an effect on how we interpret the information, that is ‘what we pay attention to.’ You could say we want to affirm ourselves about where we fit into the reality around us. All we notice are certain EMOTIONS which are evaluative judgments weighing the difference between expectations and our experience.
Emotion Offers a Way into the Tracks
So we need to unpack this information. Fortunately the psyche has self reflective capacity so we can identify what are essentially the frames of reference. Meta-Medicine gives us a certain set of distinctions which allows us to pay attention to organ brain language ‘linguistic markers’ i.e. ‘injustice’ – neck, ‘not clever enough’ skull. Through very specific questioning we flush out the hidden frames which essentially have been developed through time. We do this until language exhausts itself. If done successfully one will have elicited a core limiting belief about oneself developed at a very early age. This is the scaffold that subsequent ideas and ways of being will have developed from. There is a depth to the biology that transcends language and is just pure sensation.
Breathwork accesses this depth and is highly recommended as it deeply restructures the energy body and balances the autonomic nervous system.
Why Model the Tracks
Even though Dr Hamer did wonderful research and laid the foundation for a whole new era of Medicine but he never defined what went on internally. What happens in the psyche when in conflict. They would implement environmental solutions (remove/modify stressor) to great effect but in many instances it would have no effectHe says rightly it is all about the psyche but no one had modelled these internal processes. When one does it comes down to BELIEFS. This may be hard for people to except but one can see how beliefs determine the behaviour.
E.G. – If I speak my mind I will be rejected. The person stays silent and ends up resenting there circumstances.
So the purpose for modelling out the tracks is to make the thoughts explicit, identify the core construct that supports the whole web of associations and then collapse it so there is more flexibility and inner peace. Essentially integration liberates energy so that there is more life force available to the person to utilise as they see fit.
Models and Modelling
Modelling is essentially ‘how we make sense of the world.’ We map information through the senses and then sculpt a perception of the world we live in. Good mapping allows effective functioning in the world. Impoverished maps lead to stress and misunderstanding. The modelling methodology gives an awareness of how we structure our internal experience and therefore when we communicate we are more aware of how due to the way we reference we contaminate incoming data. This is normal but there are different degrees of contamination. We often fail to recognise that the perception is a map and this often creates problems. Formalised models are just ways of attending to information.
The Matrix Model
The matrix model recognises how consciousness is recursive. You could say there are the inner frames and the outer games.
Core distinctions – SELF / POWER / TIME / OTHER / WORLD / INTENTION and the MEANING we give everything. This model helps one recognise that consciousness is not linear but systemic / non linear. Also in the language we can now categorise and sort the info according to the matrix being activated. Meaning works through all of them
Logical Types Model
Identifies the levels – IDENTITY / VALUES / BELIEFS / CAPABILITY / BEHAVIOUR so one can categorise what they are dealing with. One could argue that beliefs are integral to all categories.
The Hindu way of thinking that a naturopath Klinghardt adhered to was that we are multi-dimensional, that we have different subtle bodies. The 5 levels of healing model
This model recognises that we have subtle body’s i.e. physical, etheric, (emotional / mental), (intuitive / reflective), spirit. The recognition of the multi-dimensional aspect of human beings has a bearing on which therapeutic modalities can be utilised so as to get maximum leverage.
Essentially the models just allow us to organise the info we hear. Both the Matrix, Logical Types and 5 levels model recognise that there is a hierarchy in that changes at the level of identity / mental body / higher frame have more profound effects than the lower levels, basically that the higher frames organise the lower.
The down side to formalised models is that you may stop noticing certain things. The upside is that you have a framework which can be refined and improved.
Cyberkinetics – An Unusual Dialogue?
It is worth mentioning that advanced muscle testing called Cyberkinetics is used. We can circumvent the conscious mind and allow the wisdom of their being to direct the process. The question is ‘how do you know’ where the best place to start is. Often the client doesn’t know. Now we surrender to the inherent wisdom of the client. It totally changes the dynamic. With the Dr and most naturopaths they are directing, using cyberkinetics the authority now rests with the client.
What are we Doing?
- Enquire into problem
- Define problem & how it operates
- Check accuracy with kinesiology
- Identify the core entanglements – belief systems
- Integration done with EFT (article detailing this process)
What to expect from process
- Fatigue is the most dominant also aches in bones & muscle. Fever, nausea, weakness, diarrhea, headache, shivers. There are more unusual healing symptoms depending on the organ going into healing.
- We are dealing with fields of information as Peter Fraser (Nutri-Energetics) has scientifically demonstrated. These fields govern the physiology so there can be structural changes in the body and changes in the behaviour.
- In the psyche one will experience the silencing of certain negative thought patterns with the disappearance of certain negative emotions. The triggers cease to operate.
- The more identified one is with the belief and the more intense the supporting emotions then the more likely the healing will be uncomfortableAll disease has two phases. Conflict activity & conflict resolution if this is achieved
In the beginning there was only Darkness and from this great void came eternal Light.
From the interplay of Light and Dark the two opposing forces of Yin and Yang created Colour in all its glory.
From the Trinity of Colours of the spectrum came Sound and the Musical Octaves the sustenance of our soul, which gave birth to Form the backbone of Matter the lowest of all Vibratory rates in the known Universe.
Here is where we are and will always be in the order of creation and in the manifestation of our Human Spirit and Being – as a drop in the sea of Vibration and at the End of the Rainbow that gave us life.
