Conventional / Alternative Approaches

Problems with many conventional & some alternative approaches.

Consider the bio-energetic system but neglect to deal with information (meaning)
Lack a tool for rapidly identifying the core of a problem.
Get overwhelmed by the complexity – no way of scoping problem – endlessness
Lack of awareness. Don’t know what you don’t know and no way of knowing

Lack of awareness. Don’t know which variables are part of a problems structure. By being able to elicit this information one increases chance of a successful outcome and has a much more targeted approach rather than scatter gun approach. It also dispels the nagging feeling that client and therapist can have that something is missing or we are on the wrong track.

Overwhelmed by complexity. When loads is going on in a clients life they can be confused as to where to start and the therapist, who wants to help the client, can end up over-analysing what to do but with no way of getting any certainty. The tool used allows the therapist to get his mind out of the way and what he thinks is best and the clients body intelligence guides the process. What to start on, what sequence to work in, when you have done enough etc. No guess work needed now! A word on sequencing. When there is a loose brick often one has to scrape more of the cement away before it will come loose. If you try to pull the brick out without scraping away the cement, often the brick won’t budge. Likewise problematic behaviours are often made up of a composite of different determining aspects.

E.G. Someone who feel find overbearing might have learnt to speak – fast, loudly & in a hostile sounding way. Very likely there will be different beliefs stemming from different life events driving this composite. With this example one can observe this in the behaviour so a good chance client and therapist will have the awareness, but even then which one do you begin with so as to save time. Higher level frames of thinking modulate lower level frames so one would rather start where one gets the most leverage. Beliefs are on a lower level than identity. If X no longer operates then Y by default can’t operate.

Scoping. Often though the variables aren’t observed as are in the background not the foreground of clients consciousness. The tool used allows the surfacing of these aspects into awareness. How can you change something you don’t know about? The ability to scope the problem (ie what is involved & how many components make up the whole) stops mission creep whereby an unhealthy co-dependency between therapist and client might develop. Due to all of us having a lot of conditioning it is easy when working with the mind to end up not being able to see the forest for the trees and to slide into addressing new problems which weren’t the intention of the client when they began

Not working with information. By only working with energy and not working with meaning (limiting beliefs) the ideas governing the clients behaviour are left untouched and so often the problem continues.

ID core issue rapidly. When there is a lot of hurt the client will be in avoidance of getting into the hurt and will inadvertantly steer away from addressing this. Maybe they have rationalised it away or are in denial? The process used will help this sidetracking happening.

How are these challenges over come?

Muscle tesing kinesiology (Bodytalk) helps overcome these difficulties. A form of feedback from the body that allows you to tap into the inherent intelligence of the cosmic mind which we are all a part of. Your body is like a finger print into the archive of your life history and information pertaining to that. It allows us to circumvent the conscious mind and its ego games and tap into the sub conscious that never lies. The system is geared to survival and development. It therefore selects information that when bought into awareness and worked on (assuming the change process is effective) will create the greatest change ie domino effect.
